About
At the moment, I am Postdoctoral Fellow at the F.R.S.-FNRS attached to the University of Liège (Belgium). My main fields of interest are: Ancient Egyptian and Coptic languages (philology and liguistics); functional and typological approaches to languages (esp. the expression of modality); language change and historical linguistics.
This year, I've done a lot of collaborative work with Eitan Grossman, who wrote a PhD on the syntax of Early Bohairic Coptic. We gave several joint talks, and next year will be publishing the results.
My Post-Doc work focuses on the conditions of the emergence of Late Egyptian (ca 1400 BC), the alleged "spoken" language of the Post-Amarnian New Kingdom Egypt.
